USS Columbus (CG-12)

Photos

I served on board the USS Columbus (CG-12) from 1970 - 1972. The Columbus was known as the "Tall Lady" and was a great ship. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour, especially working with a dedicated disbursing staff. My dad and brother-in-law toured the Columbus in 1970 and they often reflected on the ship and her crew, especially the "Chief's Mess." I was advanced to Senior Chief while aboard.
